1. About us and these terms

These terms apply to the service provided by Raporto Limited ("Raporto", "we", "us"): continuing to work on your credit search after you were referred to us. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Firm Reference Number 966252) for personal credit information services and credit broking. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 13717313), with our registered office at This Workspace, 18 Albert Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1BZ.

By asking us to keep working on your credit search, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Notice.

2. What Raporto does

You came to us because you were looking for credit through Choose Wisely and were not matched with a lender. With your agreement, we keep working to try to find you a suitable credit option, and we let you know if we do. This service is free to you.

We are a credit broker, not a lender. That means:

• we do not lend money and we do not decide whether you are given credit (lenders do that);
• we cannot guarantee that we will find you a match, or that any lender will accept you; and
• any credit you are offered will be on the lender's own terms, which you should read carefully before agreeing to anything.

3. Who can use the service

The service is for individuals aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom and who were referred to us by Choose Wisely.

4. What we will do, and what we ask of you

We will work on your search in good faith, contact you about it, and, where you have asked us to find you a match, we may pass your details to lenders, credit brokers or other credit providers for that purpose. We will handle your information as set out in our Privacy Notice.

We ask that the information held about you is accurate, and that you let us know if it changes. While we are working on your search, we suggest you hold off on making further credit applications elsewhere: applying repeatedly in a short period leaves records on your credit file and can make lenders less likely to accept you. The choice is, of course, yours.

5. Your consent and stopping the service

You can stop our service at any time, with no penalty, using the "stop" link in any message we send. When you stop, we will not contact you again and will do no further work on your search. You can also turn off just our marketing messages and keep your search running. How we treat your information when you stop is explained in our Privacy Notice.

6. Our regulatory status and how to complain

Raporto Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 966252). You can check this on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk.

If something goes wrong, please tell us first at help@raporto.co.uk so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (financial-ombudsman.org.uk), free of charge.

7. Our responsibility to you

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Because we are a broker and not a lender, we are not responsible for the decisions lenders make, the terms they offer, or whether you are accepted. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Changes

We may change the service or these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when these terms last changed. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
